We’re getting married!

Hearing Eric’s booming voice and goofy laugh was enough to intrigue me. We met as our mutual friends (Hey, Noel!) from the University of San Diego all got together for the annual Homecoming Weekend. Over the next few weeks, I would rotate between ignoring his texts and inviting him out with my friends. It wasn’t long before I was falling in love with his giant smile, weird dance moves, and consistent dad jokes.

Eric planned a private sunset sailboat cruise around Coronado Island. I thought we were celebrating our 4 year anniversary, but Eric had other plans. As the sun began to set, our captain/photographer took pictures of us. Eric told me to “look at the dolphins” in the distance and as I turned back to look at him, he was on one knee.
