Modern-day meet cute in the digital age via the Coffee Meets Bagel dating app😊. Veronica was wrapping up her first semester at Penn State World Campus in December 2019 and decided to open up Coffee Meets Bagel during winter break, only to find out she and Kevin had swiped right on each other. We started chatting, and on December 20, 2019, our story begins! 3 months after we began dating, the world as we knew it shut down for the COVID-19 pandemic, but this allowed us to get to know one another by exploring local restaurants, (by way of takeout) evenings spent on the balcony, listening to music (Kevin enjoys Pink Floyd, Veronica enjoys Ed Sheeran), watching TV (Kevin introduced Veronica to Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones), walks on the Neponset River bike path, days at the beach and evenings playing Yahtzee. Slowly, life began to return to normal and we did what we couldn’t do during the pandemic – which was travel! We traveled down to CT to visit Veronica’s family (she was excited for Kevin to meet her nephews), found a favorite "happy place" Airstream glamping spot in Cape Cod (*see engagement story*), saw the Book of Morman on Broadway in NYC en route to Penn State for Veronica's graduation, flew across the country to Seattle, WA for a Boston Bruins vs. Seattle Kraken game during the Kraken’s inaugural season in the NHL, sipped Piña Colada’s in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and most recently explored the Algarve and Lisbon, Portugal.

We went to our favorite glamping spot, AutoCamp Cape Cod in Falmouth for a long weekend in June 2023. This was our 4th visit to AutoCamp since they opened in 2021 and was dubbed by Veronica as our “happy place” because AutoCamp Cape Cod is only about an hour outside of Boston, so we are able to leave the noises of Boston/Somerville behind and the glamping is “luxurious airstreams with all the modern amenities” and each site has a private patio, which includes a fire pit and dining area - it’s our comfortable way of being outdoorsy. When we arrived, we were able to check in early AND get our favorite site, which has an open grassy area in the back of the airstream that overlooks the property and Buzzards Bay. After we unpacked, Veronica went to the Clubhouse to explore, and Kevin stayed behind. On the walk back to the campsite, Veronica could hear Kevin playing Ed Sheeran on the bluetooth speaker and she remembers thinking “It’s a beautiful Friday afternoon before it rains all weekend, I’m in my happy place, with my favorite person, and he is playing Ed Sheeran, how did I get so lucky.” Little did she know what was coming! Once Veronica returned to the airstream, Kevin suggested taking a walk, so we walked behind our airstream to the grassy field and Kevin proposed! Kevin stunned Veronica speechless in the best way possible! AutoCamp is now our forever happy place.
