Britt’s Version: Kevin and I have been connected for the last 15+ years as friends, but only moved beyond that the Summer of 2023. Everything changed when I took a chance on reaching out after having a random dream. I figured he might enjoy an excuse to leave Maine for a weekend to visit NYC and how fun would it be to take him to my favorite spots? Turns out, I was right and it was the BEST time. That first visit turned into more visits back and forth to Brooklyn and Maine. By the Fall of 2023, we decided to invest in our relationship and I moved back to Portland, Maine in December. (It just so happened, one of Kevin's best friends had the perfect apartment for us available!) Then in June 2024, Kevin proposed to me while on a vacation he planned to see as much art and antiques up the Maine Coast. Now here we are, inviting our favorite people to celebrate our totally unexpected love story in the city where we decided to start our lives together. Kevin’s Version: In summer of 2023, I was depressed, hating where I was living and just going day by day thinking things wouldn’t get better, but that all changed with a text I never expected. I have known Brittany for years and hadn’t seen her in a long time, but when she contacted me asking if I wanted to take a trip to New York to visit, I thought it would be fun to get away and see a friend. That turned out to be the perfect weekend. I couldn’t wait to go back and took several trips down to see her. Friendship turned into a relationship and we decided to move in together. I proposed less than a year later, and now I can’t wait for everyone I know and love to know her as well. Let’s celebrate our love together!
