We're getting married!!

After getting introduced by their mutual friend (shoutout Connor!) and bumping into each other at the same bar a week or so later, Matt knew he met his match when Steph looked him in the eye and said "I like to watch baseball, play golf, and drink bourbon". Only for Steph to then leave Matt at the bar for another fraternity party and thats where the chase began ;) We met towards the end of our freshman year of college and 'talked' throughout the entire summer before officially dating at the beginning of sophomore year. We have been going strong for a whole 7 years so far with many more to come. Following graduation, we did 2 1/2 years of long distance post-grad. Steph moved to Boston immediately where as Matt was moving every 6 months for two years. The weekend trips to Boston and to Matt's various cities always went by too fast. The silver lining in this situation is we both had the opportunity to find out who we are post-grad and become acclimated in our new careers while exploring our new cities knowing we still had one another even at a distance. When the time came for Matt to finally move to Boston, he was traveling literally every day of the week so it was kind of like distance all over again. Then Covid happened and I think it was LITERALLY the only time we had consistently spent so much time together in all of our years together. We went from one extreme to the next! haha! From our first date at Miami where Steph got a flatbread with pine nuts because she panicked ordered (which still happens) to the countless dates in the city we call home where she still panic orders. To sharing our love of cooking and exploring new reasturant and bars. To slowly convincing Steph to get on a plane so we can travel the world together and continue to go back to our favorite spots like D.C and Montreal and DISNEY! We are so excited for what is to come and our future together. Thank you so much for joining us in our celebration!

I literally thought that Steph was so stunning and realized I walked past her twice a week on Spring St. between classes, so I purposely left class a few minutes early one day, made my way to where we always passed each other, just so I can hit her with the most awkward and nerve-racking "oh hey!" ever. Pretty sure I scared the hell out of her. Creepy? Cute? Not sure, but hey it worked out!
