San Jose Del Cabo International Airport (SJD)

Once you arrive in San Jose del Cabo Airport (SJD) you will head to immigration and customs. You will first go through immigration and they will tear off the bottom piece of your immigration card. Keep this in your passport as you will need this card when you leave Mexico. Once you pick up your luggage from baggage claim, you will need to scan your luggage through the x-ray conveyor. All luggage including laptops and cameras are safe to go through the machine. Then exit the airport through the appropriate door depending on your transportation method to the hotel.

Los Cabos (or the Cape Region) is made up of two towns, Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. It is at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula located just below California surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. The combination of desert, ocean, and mountains make Los Cabos a precious jewel. The weather in Los Cabos in May is beautiful! The average daytime temperature is around 80.6 Fahrenheit. Evenings cool off to 71.6 Fahrenheit degrees. PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED! Pack this first! Currency is the Mexican Peso. However, all taxis and restaurants accept the US Dollar and credit cards. ATMs are readily available. No need to exchange money. Also please inform your bank/credit card company that you will be in Mexico. This is for your protection. Call your cell phone company to make sure you activate international dialing and ask for the rates BEFORE you travel to Mexico. ONCE YOU ARRIVE IN MEXICO TURN OFF DATA ROAMING. IF YOU NEED TO USE THE INTERNET THERE IS WIFI IN THE VILLAS/HOTELS. Most cellular carriers have roaming agreements with the Mexican operators so your cell phone should work just fine.
