Our Story- Her POV

I never thought I would wind up on a dating site, but here we are. One download and many, many swipes later (I mean MANY), it obviously works, folks. This is my PSA to download Hinge. September of 2022: Jason's profile stood out to me because of his contagious smile and not to mention the cute lil gap in his teeth. He also had something written about The 1975, my favorite band. I decided to message him. Months of conversation ensued. November 2022: Eventually the date came. It was at Coneflower, a local ice cream parlor. I was shaking driving to meet him. I was tempted to turn around and head back home, but then I thought about how life is full of taking chances, like how I jumped out of a plane just for fun or how I moved to a new city, in a new state, for law school. All of those moments turned out wonderfully, so why wouldn't this one? Jason and I sat on a bench outside for hours. We talked about everything. There was never an awkward moment. He was sweet and kind and most importantly funny. We went on another date and then another...too many to count. We made it official in December of 2022. May 2025: I am gullible. Jason told me that he was taking me to a fancy, fancy dinner at The Broadmore (a REALLY fancy hotel). Anyways, we walked a very long way, and I was in heels. Jason kept telling me that we were getting close. Somehow, he ended up on one knee. The rock was...HOLY MOLY! It was beautiful: the ring, the place, and the moment.

Our Story- His POV

Never did I think I would have found the love of my life on a dating app… but here I was on Hinge in 2022. I received a notification that someone had liked my profile, and when I looked, it was the cutest girl with the biggest eyes and smile. We started chatting, and I knew that I really wanted to go on a date with her. The only problem was that she was not the best at responding; sometimes I would go weeks without hearing back, but something kept me around. Liv and I finally set up our first date about a month after meeting each other on Hinge. We were going to get Coneflower Ice Cream. On that first date, I knew what we had was something different and something I had not experienced before. We sat on a bench, had ice cream, and talked for what turned into three and a half hours. The only problem was that there were two things I was not completely sold on: (1) The fact she was gluten-free (I love food and cooking), and (2) that she was not from the Omaha area, so I was worried about what was going to happen after she graduated law school, as we kept getting closer and began dating. Those two things must not have mattered much because we have been together for nearly three years, have moved to Colorado, there have been no issues with cooking gluten-free, and now we are getting married.
