FAQs

Do you have a question? Hopefully you can find the answer here! If not, feel free to contact us through FB, Greenvelopes messages, email (horton2ot@gmail.com) or phone. That way, we can add the answer to this page!
Question

The hotel told me there are no rooms left in the block and the whole hotel is booked up, what do I do?

Answer

Reservations do need to be made 30 days prior to September 17th to get a room in our room block. If you are booking before that time, we have had multiple guests say that the front desk has told them there are no more rooms in our block and that the entire hotel is booked up. However, whenever we talk to our coordinator, there are rooms available in our block. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF THIS BECOMES A PROBLEM FOR YOU!!! We want to make sure that our guests are able to get rooms for this event! We will talk to our coordinator to check on actual room availability.

Question

Is there a policy on masks?

Answer

We are not requiring anyone to wear masks. We would like people to do what is within their comfort level, even if that means staying home (we will miss you!) we will understand. We will have a box of disposable masks at the door in case anyone starts to feel uncomfortable at any time and would like to grab one. From what I know, most people attending are vaccinated (except children young enough not to get the vaccine).

Question

How is this different/similar from a traditional wedding?

Answer

The biggest difference is that there will NOT be a ceremony. Zach and I got married last year, with just our parents in attendance due to the pandemic. We will however have a normal reception complete with cocktail hour, dinner, toasts, dancing, etc.

Question

Is there a rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Since there will be no ceremony, there will not be a rehearsal dinner.

Question

What type of attire should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal to dressy. Preferably no jeans, tank tops, etc.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We accidentally forgot to put +1's on wedding invites. However, if when you go to RSVP there is an option to fill in a guest name, than yes, you are able to bring a date (please fill in the name if you are bringing a date). If not, we would appreciate you coming by yourself. If you do not get a +1 don't fear! There will be plenty of people to dance the night away with!

Question

I have a food allergy or restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy please let us know and we will do the best we can to accommodate you. There will be vegetarian appetizers at the cocktail hour and a vegan entrée option and vegetarian sides at the buffet.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Anyone with kids should have an invite addressed to include "and family." Kids names will also be included to check off when you RSVP. If there is a child that we have accidentally left out please let us know as we are still including them in our guest count.

For all the days along the way
