As the saying goes, “What’s for you, won’t pass you.” We like to think of this quote as the theme of our relationship. We first met as teenagers in high school. We were the ultimate cliché. Will was a junior, a wide receiver on the football team, and friends with everyone. I was a sophomore, a social butterfly, and all about competitive dance at the time. He was my first serious crush, and while we were drawn to each other and talked on and off for a bit, life had other plans and we went our separate ways in 2013 until after college. Fast forward to late 2020: we were 24 and 25, both living in the same part of town, both single and ran into each other at the gym. What started as catching up as "just friends" immediately felt easy, familiar, and right. After about two months of getting to know each other again, we made it official. Since then, we’ve built a life we love full of laughter, adventure, and a little bit of chaos! We moved in together, raised two golden retrievers who we absolutely spoil, and even ended up working at the same company (because apparently, were not sick of each other yet)! Now, almost a year into being engaged and with our wedding around the corner, we can’t wait to keep building this life we love side by side, through every chapter to come.
