we're getting married

It was 2012 and we were at an Omega Psi Phi house party. I had on a fitted red dress and he had on his Omega attire. We talked for maybe 2 or 3 minutes and I was flirting like crazy wanting him to ask for my number. However, he never did and I never saw or heard from him again. It wasn't until April 29, 2022 as I was preparing to take my annual social media break on May 1st when I received a friend request from a Travis Howell. Immediately I started asking myself questions like, “What has he been up to? And where has he been? I haven’t seen him in forever!” Excited to see where life had taken him, I accepted the request and at 3:41pm CST I received a Facebook message that would change my life forever…”Miss Olivia I just wanted to reintroduce myself. I just think you are so attractive and I had to reach out. 😍” In our early messages, he shared with me how he was in the United States Marine Corps, deployed over 8,000 miles away in Australia, and how a lady had prophesied over him in the Summer of 2021 telling him about his future wife & the future they would have together. He was at a church conference and she gave him a word from the Lord urging him to be intentionally looking for her. When he told me this, I sat there in disbelief. Because in the Fall of 2021 as I was getting items for my new place in Birmingham, a random lady stopped me in Homegoods and prophesied a powerful word over my ministry, purpose, wealth, and future husband. She said, “God told me to tell you, you’re special and chosen. You’ve been wondering if you made the right move to Birmingham and why you’ve been single for so long, but you are here for a divine purpose and you won’t be single for much longer. Your husband is on the way but be open to who he is.” Little did I know, 5 months later, I would meet the man I had been praying fervently for all along. I am so grateful and thankful God chose Travis Marvell Howell just for me. When they say a lot can happen in a year, I believe it! Because on Friday, December 15, 2023, the love of my life asked for my hand in marriage and, of course, I said YES!
