Are there dress codes for the wedding events?

Answer

Yes. Semi-formal attire is requested for the August 30 wedding ceremony and reception. For women, that is cocktail dresses, knee-length skirts with a nice blouse, tailored pantsuits, or elegant jumpsuits. Semi-formal attire for men includes a well-tailored suit or blazer with dress pants, a crisp dress shirt, and dress shoes. No blue jeans, please. Recommended attire for the August 29 Welcome Reception is casual.

Is there a deadline to RSVP for wedding events?

Yes. Please RSVP by Friday, July 25.

Are kids invited to wedding events?

Answer

Due to space restrictions, we can't accommodate children at our August 30 wedding ceremony and reception. We would love to celebrate with children at our August 29 Welcome Reception. Thank you.

Are "Plus Ones" invited to attend?

Answer

To ensure proper planning, we respectfully ask that you limit attendees to those indicated on your invitation.

Do you have parking recommendations for this wedding?

Answer

Yes. There is no dedicated parking lot at Melrose Abbey, but ample parking surrounds the venue. We recommend dropping off your family and friends at Melrose Abbey before finding parking in the surrounding area.

Will there be shuttles between any of the recommended hotels and the wedding ceremony and reception venue?

Answer

A shuttle is available Saturday, August 30 to transport guests of AC Marriott Hotel Kansas City Plaza to and from the wedding venue.

Have you reserved room blocks at any particular hotels?

Answer

Yes. While available, we have limited rooms at the AC Marriott Hotel Kansas City Plaza (560 Westport Road) and The Fontaine (901 W 48th Place). See the "Travel" link on this website for details. Please note: Rooms are only available while supplies within the room block last.
