The mangrove forest is one of the most vital and astounding ecosystems in the world. Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio, is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica. Covering thousands of acres of protected forest, this amazing biodiversity is home to a large number of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects. We will be organizing a group trip. Inquire if interested! Expect to pay around $75 pp (TBD based on group rates).
The largest percentage of all animals in Costa Rica are active mostly or exclusively at night. Once the sun sets in the Costa Rican rainforest, we start hiking and looking for exciting species of animals while the jungle takes on a totally different character. It’s the best time to find, observe and photograph beautiful tree frogs, shy snakes, colorful insects, mammals and other rainforest creatures that only come out at night. We will be organizing a group tour - ask us about it! Expect to pay around $55 pp (TBD based on group rate).
El Santuario Canopy Adventure features Central America’s longest dual zip lines. Zip across 11 zip lines, walk across 6 hanging bridges, rappel down a giant ceiba tree, and enjoy a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch. This zipline is in a 500 acre private reserve and is around a 5 hour excursion. Expect to pay around $90 pp (TBD based on group rates). We can organize a group outing if enough people are interested!
Visiting Manuel Antonio National Park is a must for nature lovers—this compact yet biodiverse park features lush rainforest trails, white-sand beaches, and abundant wildlife like sloths, monkeys, and iguanas. Top things to do include hiking scenic trails (like the Punta Catedral loop), swimming or relaxing at Playa Manuel Antonio, spotting wildlife with a guided tour, and enjoying ocean views from elevated lookouts. Arrive early, as daily visitor numbers are limited, and don’t forget your swimsuit, camera, and bug spray! There are a limited number of tickets available and you'll need to book online for a timed entry (around $18 pp) -- you can't buy tickets in person. Use the link on this site. If driving to the park, you can find private parking near the entrance on the right side. It should cost around $10 USD. There will be many people outside of the park offering cheap tours -- do not engage. Only engage with a pre-booked guide or a guide that's already inside the park.
