We're getting married!

Olivia and Shane first met in St. Petersburg, Florida on December 15, 2017 when they were out with friends on the town. Shane lived there and Olivia was visiting her best friend from college who just moved to that area. There was an instant spark, however Olivia already had plans to move to Spain to teach English, so they decided to remain friends. Over the next two and a half years they kept in touch often, and Olivia would see Shane when she would visit her best friend in St Pete. When COVID-19 hit Spain, and her career abroad was uncertain, she decided to move back to the United States. After much consideration, Olivia decided to take a teaching position in Tampa, Florida. Right before moving, Shane asked her to be his girlfriend on June 26, 2020. They have been inseparable ever since!!

The beach is one of Shane and Olivia's favorite places to spend time together! They love to take romantic walks on the beach at sunset. One beautiful afternoon on Valentine's day of 2023, Shane went down on one knee at their favorite beach spot and gave an emotional speech expressing his love, and asking Olivia to marry him. Joyful tears followed as Olivia said YES!! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Madrid!
