Olivia and Satchel's story began in the fall of 2021 when Olivia transferred to Anderson University. Satchel played basketball while Olivia played softball. So naturally they found themselves surrounded by the same friend groups all the time. Before long, it was always "Satchel and the girls." He quickly became known as 'Auntie Satch' because he was basically one of the girls, while Olivia earned the nickname 'Uncle Liv' because she was always the one grilling out by the pool. Although they were always around each other, timing wasn't quite on their side at first. Through different seasons of college, on and off relationships, they remained friends for 2 years. Everything changed during their final 2 months of college after one of their many 'late-night drives' listening to old country music. Shortly after graduation, they went on their first real date in Catawba while visiting friends together. Days later, they traveled down to Atlanta with some other friends to see the legendary Stevie Nicks. Fun fact; Satchel thought that 'Stevie' was a man... he truly just wanted to be around Olivia and have time to spend with her. Don't worry- he has since been educated on the legend herself. After the concert, on May 23rd, 2023, Satchel asked Olivia to be his girlfriend. Since then, Olivia and Satchel have spent the last few years traveling, making unforgettable memories, and building a life surrounded by the people they love the most. After doing long distance for over three years, they have learned to cherish every moment they get together- the big adventures, Sunday golf rounds, and late night drives. They are so excited to start their lives together and celebrate with the people they love most!
