Although we don’t remember, come to find out our families have known each other for years. This day is also his Mother & Father’s wedding anniversary! What A coincidence?! We had been friends on social media since back in the MySpace days, and when Facebook came around he added me and I only approved it because I remembered him from MySpace. Our discussions were always brief but always about work. On October 12, 2013 I was getting ready to go downtown to a club called Hudson for some drinks with a friend when I saw a message pop up on Facebook. It was him randomly asking me what I was doing. I thought it was odd because he never talk to me on a personal level it was always business. So I told him my plans and he said “is that my invite” I thought about it for a second and quickly got on my Facebook and scrolled through his pictures and thought to myself “why not” he doesn’t seem dangerous plus I had a friend with me LOL. When he got downtown he messaged me his phone number and told me he was at the back bar. So when we got there he walked up and we immediately smiled at each other and embraced with a hug and I said it was finally nice to meet each other face-to-face. He looked down and said I was prettier in person we both laughed and I asked him what he was drinking, he smiled and said whatever you’re drinking... So I ordered two crown & 7s. His jaw dropped and said there’s no way we have the same favorite drink. We then Started a conversation about other similarities we had like football teams, basketball teams etc. Long story short, that Facebook message went a long way huh! We’ve impacted each other’s lives in so many positive ways. I know they say things happen for a reason and I now know we both have gone through lifes ups and downs and it’s made us who we are today for this very reason. This is God’s plan. R+O=1
