She was the small town girl from Algonac, he was the big city boy living in Plymouth. Before the internet, they never would have crossed paths and even with the internet, they almost didn't! Both Ryan and Olivia had a profile on Facebook Dating and on April 29th, 2021, Ryan discovered Olivia's profile despite her being out of his set "mile radius." Olivia was due to travel to Florida with her mom, so their first phone call took place while she was in the hotel and to put it simply, there was no awkward silence! As an excuse to go on a date upon her return, Ryan asked if Olivia could get him a shot glass from Walt Disney World (since he was already collecting them) and she obliged. On May 22nd, they met for their first date at the ZapZone in Utica for Glo-Golf and literally hit it off! Afterwards, they went to get ice cream and Olivia knew something was different about Ryan when he opened the car door for her. As the evening was coming to a close, Olivia gave Ryan his requested shot glass as well as a bonus one from Universal. Once they had parted ways, they were eager to go on a second date. Who knew that their first date together would be their final "first date"?! Since then, they never went a weekend without seeing each other and from the beginning, Olivia had a gut feeling about the success of the relationship. For the last four years, she's been diligently journaling about each weekend and major life event and has immortalized hundreds of pages worth of their memories, special moments, and life experiences. Together, they've celebrated their anniversaries by traveling to Florida (6 Months), Mackinac Island (Year 1), St. Augustine and Charleston (Year 2), and Boston and Cape Cod (Year 3). For year four, they'll be doing the unordinary by staying close to home... though their honeymoon plans are in the works and they're bigger than any trip they've been on before!
