We’re Gettin Hitched!

Olivia and Russell met at the Wild Hare music Festival in Canby, OR on July 16, 2022. Olivia was there playing a songwriters showcase, and Russell had gone up from California with his best friend Clint to see Zach Bryan who was the headliner of the festival. After Olivia’s show she was walking around with her mom and friend Savannah, they happened to walk by Russell and Clint in the VIP area. Olivia and Russell noticed each other immediately. After a little time Olivia went over to compliment Russell’s colorful pressed shirt and starched jeans. They chatted a while, then Olivia, her mom Joni, and Savannah left to walk around the festival some more. Joni went home saying she’d be back at the end of the night to pick up Olivia since the festival was in their hometown. Russ had been looking for Olivia after the girls had walked off, he finally saw Olivia and Savannah come back and ask them if they would join him and Clint for the concert and some drinks. After an adventurous night filled with dancing, music, a few beers, and many laughable moments like looking for plastic bags to get Olivia’s boot back on, mishearing “single dad” versus “single man”, loosing Clint to a corn dog stand, and momma Joni hitting the Motel 6 parking lot median at 2 am while dropping off Russell, somehow they managed to start their love story. Russell invited Olivia to breakfast with him and Clint the next morning, and the rest is history. If you ask them about the night they met they will laugh and tell you it is the most “real” and “them” story they could imagine. I’m sure Russell wasn’t planning on finding his future wife that weekend, and who knew that all Olivia had to do to find her future husband was go home to Canby, OR.
