Our Story

Question

The First Date

Answer

Olivia and Parker met on August 28th, 2022 at Everly, a bistro in Madison, Wisconsin. Like so many couples nowadays, and so romantically, they found each other on Hinge, a dating app. It took weeks for them to meet in person because Olivia got COVID shortly after they connected online. Thankfully, they were not deterred by this delay. Even after a couple weeks of talking over text, the first date at Everly was lively with chatter, neither one of them wanting the date to end. Dinner at Everly turned into an ice cream stop at The Chocolate Shoppe next door, then a game of connect four at Wingra Boats and a walk along the Lake. This first date would become very representative of the couple they would grow into over the following years, always ready for some playful competition, spontaneous adventures, and ice cream…

Question

The Proposal

Answer

Parker asked Olivia to take off work before her birthday because he had a surprise extravaganza planned. The week before the big day, he staked out the location, getting the employers at the proposal site in the know and sending out ‘spy’ routes for the surveillance team, Joise and Trey Turner to for in-the-moment photos. The day of the proposal, January 17th, Parker took Olivia out for breakfast at Pegs Countryside Cafe. Fulfilling a favorite weekend tradition for the couple, sharing a carefully crafted breakfast. Next on the agenda was some pampering for the birthday girl, massage and manicure. Then they were off to the next surprise. A visit to the Foshay Observation deck in downtown Minneapolis! Olivia had been trying to take Parker here but weather or construction always prevented the trip. She was so glad Parker was finally going to get to experience the breathtaking view of the city for the first time, so she thought... Once on the observation deck, Parker guided Olivia around to the South wall. Parker played their favorite song “Come to me” by the Goo Goo dolls. The couple danced together. Parker spun Olivia out and when she turned back around, he was down on one knee. SHE SAID YES! Celebration ensued immediately, Parker, Olivia, Josie, and Trey got cocktails at the Foshay lounge and then were ushered out by Parker to ensure all were on time for the next surprise. Waiting for us at the next location was a room full of family and friends. Pizza and Sarah cookies were eaten, champagne was popped, and there was no shortage of hugs and congratulations. Parker showed the group the best Minni has to offer. The rest of the weekend included a trip to see the notorious spoon and cherry, visit to favorite local brewery Luce Line, beer boots at Gluk’s, live music, arts and crafts, hearty meals and many many drinks to cheers the occasion. The couple is so grateful the crew braved the cold Minnesota January weekend to get our engagement off to a stellar start!
