Chicago (2-hour drive, 3-hour bus)

Madison has decent public buses, lots of bike paths and bikeshare, and Uber and Lyft. However, you'll need access to a car (or someone to carpool with) to get to the Canoe Trip and Main Event venue.
Hotels:
Hotels on the Isthmus are kind of insanely expensive. For a relatively affordable option that's not too far away from where all our events will be happening, look into the DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East.
If you don't care too much about cost, look at The Edgewater or Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown.
