Question

What should I know before attending a Catholic mass?

Answer

We understand that many of our loved ones are unfamiliar with the Catholic mass — and we welcome you to come and pray for our marriage with us! We will have mass guides for those that may be unfamiliar, so please use them! A few things to note— because of the sacredness of the liturgy, please do not use your phone or have conversations during the mass. In addition, please have your shoulders and chest covered for modesty. If you have any questions about the mass prior to or after our wedding date, please feel free to text the bride or groom!

Question

What kind of food will be served? Will alcohol be provided?

Answer

We will be serving BBQ and plenty of sides! Please note that no alcohol will be served or permitted during our marriage celebration. The couple requests that their guests respect the zero alcohol policy during all on-site celebrations, including the reception at Ironwood Farm.

Question

What time should I arrive at mass?

Answer

Please arrive at mass 15-30 minutes early. Our quartet will be singing 30 minutes prior to mass to help us prepare our hearts for this celebration. Please enter the sanctuary in silence so that others can maintain a posture of prayer.

Question

Can I take photos during your wedding?

Answer

We ask that our guests refrain from taking photos (or using their phones) during the wedding mass due to the sacredness of the liturgy. However, we encourage people to take pictures during our reception!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please dress formal. Ladies, please pick an outfit in which your shoulders, chest, and knees are covered. Thank you!
