We're getting married!

Michael and Olivia met way back in the Spring of 2018 on a dating app called Tinder. (Both were not looking for a relationship at the time) First time meeting one another. The second time that Olivia and Michael met was at a mutual friends home at a hang out. It was roles reversed. If you have ever met Mike and Liv you know that Mike is typically more reserved and a listener, Liv is a bubbly social butterfly that would talk to a brick wall if the conversation was good enough. (That night We learned that when Michael is nervous he will talk to a brick wall and Olivia will become a really good listener). The third time the two met was at Olivia favorite place besides a cozy bed - Marshalls! Michael was in Kearney helping his brother move into his new rental, and Olivia was working at the UNK student engagement office over the summer. She was getting pillows with Abby and he was getting bathroom supplies with Marshall. The two locked eyes from down the aisle. Olivia started the conversation as she is known to do and Michael was happy to be engaged in conversation with the prettiest girl in the state. The two talked for a while before they got pulled away from each other and they left each other saying "stay in touch". The two stayed in touch eventually going on their first date on June 11th, Michael picked Olivia up. They went to Yanney and walked around the park talking about everything and anything they could think of to fill the space between them. (Remember earlier about Michael talking too much and Olivia being a good listener...yeah same situation). They ended up at the top of Yanney tower talking and looking at the houses saying what they liked best about each one and talking more and more. They didn't know it then, but the person standing next to them at the top of the tower was the person they would stand next to for the rest of their lives.

Michael & Olivia got engaged in the same park that they had their first date at back in 2020. The two have always loved to go walking in the park because it is one of the more scenic parks in Kearney. Being the site of their first date, it only seemed fitting that they started the next step of their lives together at the place where it all began. The phrase the comes to mind when Mike and Liv think of their proposal is " ARE YOU S***TING ME?!?!?!". Michael surprised Liv with a engagement party on Saturday night after the proposal. To her knowledge it was birthday party that she was throwing for Marshall and Michael for their birthday. She was thoroughly surprised and happy to see all the happy faces that were there to celebrate the newly engaged couple.

As of now Olivia is at the Buckle being the best recruiter that she can be. Michael is working at KSO as Payroll Specialist doing his best to be the quickest at QuickBooks. The two have had a lot firsts together. They moved-in together, started fostering dogs for a local rescue, and went on their first big trip together (Cancun in January nothing better). The two learned they have a huge heart for dogs and now have two Dogs now! Navy is a Black Goldendoodle for Liv, and Sam our White Bernadoodle for Mike. They're super spoiled Liv and Mike can't imagine life without them. The two have their biggest first coming up. This first we hope and truly believe that it will be our last first of the kind. Michael and Olivia have truly fallen all the way in love with one another in a way that can't be put to words. The couple can't wait to celebrate with each of you - they know they might not be able to get to everyone but will do their best! We love each and everyone of you, and want you to know that in some way you have made a difference in our lives.
