Rooted In Love

Welcome, family and friends. Our story began in 2019 when we met as new teachers in Southeast Washington, D.C. What started as a simple act of kindness during a challenging first year of teaching grew into a friendship that slowly, and beautifully, became something more. Many of our early conversations took place on Marcus’s back deck, where we spent hours talking about life, our dreams, and the people who shaped us. Over time, our friendship deepened into a love rooted in patience, respect, and the quiet choice to show up for one another every day. Since 2020, we have built a life together filled with laughter, growth, and the love of our families & two dogs, Amelia and Roscoe. What began as two teachers supporting each other through the challenges of education has grown into a partnership we are proud to nurture for a lifetime. As we prepare to begin this next chapter, we are incredibly grateful to bring together the people who have loved, supported, and shaped us along the way.
