After landing in ELH, find a cab outside and request for them to take you to the water taxi at 3 Island Dock. Usually it is $5/person+tip. It is a short 5 minute cab ride to the water taxi dock. Please tell the captain you are traveling to Harbour Island, Dunmore Town, and want to be dropped off at Governor's Dock. This water taxi usually costs $10/person+tip. It is a short 10-minute boat ride to the island. Once on the island, there will be cabs (the only cars on the island) waiting for you and can take you to wherever you need to go. They are local and trustworthy. The island does not have address or house numbers, but rather house names. Most island taxi drivers will know the name of your home and can lead you directly there.
The wedding will be at Coral Sands. The Dunmore and Pink Sands are both located on either side of Coral Sands and are other high-end options to stay. VRBO and Dunmore Realty Group are good places to look to book a house on the island. Rock House, Valentines Marina, The Landing, Valentine's Marina, Ramora Bay, and Tingum Village are located on the bay side of the island and are also fabulous more affordable options to stay. Please see their contact info on the Travel Page and contact the hotels via phone to book. All locations are ideal but most events are more towards the middle of the island. The western side of the island is where the port is and the bay side of the island. The eastern side of the island is the side Coral Sands is located on and the beach side of the island. Golfcart! There are many options when booking a golfcart. Please park your golfcarts outside the Church for the ceremony and then drive them to Coral Sands after for the Reception. You can walk but if you want to avoid some sweat, we suggest golfcarting!
