Landon and Olivia met at Mississippi State University in October of 2016. Landon asked Olivia to go hammock out at North Farm for their first date. The two brought their own hammocks, but somehow only set up one hammock. They talked for hours and as the sun was going down, Landon suggested going to get dinner. They ended up at La Terraza where their love of Mexican cuisine was discovered and the rest is history.

Landon proposed to Olivia in one of her favorite places in the world - Asheville, NC. Sabrina, Olivia's mom had come into town so they could go see the fall colors in the Asheville area. The three of them set off to NC for the weekend all while Landon had bigger plans. They had reservations for lunch at the infamous Pisgah Inn, an inn with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. When they got to the inn for lunch, it was raining and foggy - meaning no views. The rain continued throughout lunch and Landon had to think fast. He grabbed a map and asked Olivia to show him other places along the parkway that she had loved while living there for two summers in college. After lunch, they drove down the parkway, stopping along the way to more rain and fog, and eventually made their way to Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, NC and that is where Landon proposed.
