6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
In true New Orleans fashion, we will have a band lead us from the ceremony to the reception! For those not familiar with this, the New Orleans Wedding Second Line is a tradition that symbolizes the newlyweds' transition into their new life together, while inviting everyone to celebrate with them. It involves the bride and groom leading a parade of their guests through the streets, often accompanied by a brass band playing music. The couple typically carries decorated umbrellas or parasols, while the guests wave white handkerchiefs and dance along. The Second Line at a wedding is all about spreading joy, unity, and celebration, representing the community's support for the couple as they embark on their journey together. It's a way of sharing the joy with everyone, not just those in attendance but also passersby who might join in.
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
