Flying In?
The most convenient airport to fly into is JFK. From there, take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, then board the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) directly to Montauk. If you’re flying into LaGuardia (LGA) or Newark (EWR), you’ll need to take an Uber to Penn Station in Manhattan, then catch the LIRR to Montauk (you’ll transfer at Jamaica Station). Important: LIRR trains to Montauk can be infrequent, so be sure to check the schedule in advance! Alternatively, you can rent a car from any airport. The drive to Montauk takes approximately 3 hours.

If you’re staying in Manhattan before heading to Montauk, take the LIRR from Penn Station. Make sure to check the schedule for exact departure times.
