If you are coming straight to the wedding, we would recommend flying into Madrid-Barajas and then getting a car or train down to Toledo (its about a 35-40 min drive).
Ultimately it is up to you! Jet lag is real and we would recommend booking a flight that arrives on Sunday the 17th. This allows a full day of rest/accomodate for delays etc. The Hotel block will not begin until Monday the 18th so please keep this in mind.
Please note that the hotel room block secures your room reservation only and does not cover the cost of the stay. Upon arrival, your room will be reserved under either my name (Olivia), Josiah’s name, or my father’s name (Greg). At check-in, you will simply replace the card on file with your own payment information and pay for your stay accordingly.
Both the Welcome Dinner and our Wedding will be held at Cigarral De Las Mercedes. The address is here: Ctra. Piedrabuena, 72, 45004 Toledo, Spain. Here is a link to their website too: https://cigarraldelasmercedes.com/en/
This is our "pseudo-rehearsal dinner" where everyone can mingle and enjoy before the wedding! We will have a different space at the venue reserved so that we can all eat, talk, drink and enjoy. The attire will be cocktail and we just require your presence! This events starts at 7 pm.
We will be serving a variety of grilled meats, but there will also be some tapas, potatoes, veggies and more!
Tuesday the 19th is our wedding and we will start the ceremony at 6 pm at the venue. During the day the wedding party will be getting ready and taking photos so take your time and enjoy the day in Toledo. The hotel is less than a mile away from the venue so travel time should be short. Attire is Black Tie.
No! We have the hotel block through Wednesday the 20th. We have no obligations following the wedding, please have fun and go travel!
Again, up to you! If you are planning another trip after our wedding you can book your plans as soon as Wednesday morning! The hotel block will end that day in the afternoon (20th). As for leaving Toledo, there is a lot to see both in the city and in the surrounding areas so we recommend taking a tour or exploring!
