FAQs

Question

What should I wear to the Church?

Answer

We ask that guests dress in respectful, modest attire for the cathedral/church, covering shoulders, cleavage and avoiding short hemlines. Modest attire is appreciated for the ceremony.

Question

Will the ceremony be a full Mass?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will include a full Catholic Mass lasting approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. We encourage everyone to follow along in the provided programs.

Question

What if I am not Catholic?

Answer

All are welcome! We are honored to have you share in our sacrament. Please feel comfortable participating as you are able, or simply enjoying the service.

Question

Can I take pictures during the Mass?

Answer

We are having an 'unplugged' ceremony. We ask that all phones and cameras be turned off/put away during the Mass to allow the professional photographer to work and to respect the sanctity of the wedding.

Question

What is the protocol for Communion?

Answer

We kindly ask that only baptized Catholics who are prepared in a state of grace to receive the Eucharist do so, or come forward with arms crossed for a blessing. Non-Catholics are encouraged to also approach with their arms crossed for a blessing or remain in their seats for prayer as they are comfortable.
