Coming down to this section, you’re probably thinking one of two things: 1. “Wow! What a beautiful couple! I’d love to know more about them.” 2. “Wow! That was fast! What happened?” To the first, Jordan would say, “Thank you…Olivia’s the beauty—I just make it a couple.” To the second, Olivia would say, “He’s going ten thousand miles an hour. I just came along for the ride.” Either way, you’re here—so let us tell you a little about our story. Olivia and Jordan’s story begins at Mission Bible Church. Though they had seen each other around, they officially met in June 2024 at a dating series for singles taught by Pastor Desmond. If you’re imagining sparks flying right away…well, not quite. It wasn’t until September, when Olivia joined the Youth Ministry where Jordan served, that they began interacting more regularly. Something shifted in October 2024. Elijah and Jess—friends who volunteered in youth—hosted a fall fellowship at their home. That night, Jordan took the chance to talk with Olivia a little more intentionally. After that conversation, he began to see her in a new light. Over the next couple of months, their friendship grew steadily. Then, on February 12th, 2025, after a late Wednesday night serving in youth, Jordan finally worked up the courage to ask Olivia out for coffee. While Jordan had been thinking about this for a while, Olivia was completely surprised. After seeking counsel from their pastors, they decided to remain friends for a season and continue building their foundation. With more prayer, counsel, and patience, the next step came in May. Jordan met with Olivia’s family, and that night he asked her father for permission to pursue a relationship with the intention of marriage. With his blessing, Olivia and Jordan officially began dating on May 10th, 2025. From there, they quickly became inseparable. They loved going to the movies, walking around shops, visiting parks, and talking on the phone. If you asked them their favorite thing to do, they’d both say the same thing: simply talking together. They went from texting every day, to calling every day, to seeing each other every single day. Even though they had only known each other a short time, they became best friends almost instantly. As they continued dating, their relationship deepened quickly. By July, they were having serious conversations about marriage, and on August 5th, 2025, Jordan asked Olivia to marry him. Thankfully, she said yes. As Olivia and Jordan reflect on their relationship, they are reminded that they were never walking this path alone. Throughout every stage—friendship, waiting, dating, and engagement—they were surrounded by pastors, counselors, friends, and family who offered wisdom, encouragement, and steady support. Their community has been a constant reminder of God’s kindness and provision. Through it all, they have found deep hope and abundant grace in Christ and in the loving care of His people. And that brings you up to today. Olivia and Jordan are overflowing with joy and gratitude for what God has done in their lives, and they are so, so, so excited to celebrate with you.
