His dedication, strength of character, and willingness to stand by the people he cares about say a lot about the kind of man he is. While many people know Ryan as Abby’s husband, I see him as the brother I never had. From the moment he became part of our lives, it was clear he’s a solid guy with strong values, ambition, and a great sense of humor. KJ, formally known as Kim Johnson, has had a huge impact on Joey’s life. From a young age, Joey has always looked up to him—not just as a cousin, but as someone who set the example of what hard work, dedication, and determination really look like. Whether it was watching him succeed in Division I football, seeing him pursue a career as an engineer, or now serving his country as a United States Marine, KJ has always been someone Joey admired and respected. He’s the kind of person who proves that with discipline and ambition, you can accomplish incredible things. But beyond all of his achievements, what stands out the most is the character and strength he carries with him every day. While many people know the Marine Corps motto as ‘The Few, The Proud,’ to Joey, KJ represents even more than that—he’s a role model and truly a legend in Joey’s world.
