This story begins in 2012 shortly after Jeff graduated from West Point. As a newly minted 2nd Lieutenant he moved to Columbus, GA to attend the infantry basic course which fortunately was just a short distance from Florida State University. This is where Jeff would soon meet the love of his life. After a few visits to the University to live vicariously through Jessica’s college experience he met Olivia, and she immediately caught his eye (can’t say the same thing for Olivia, but I like to think so). Their courtship grew roots after celebrating Jessica’s birthday in Hilton Head, SC at Karen and Tim’s beautiful cottage. It was that weekend that Jeff decided to “make a move” on Olivia the only way he knew how....he sat next to her and shared his food. The relationship grew slowly through December while Jeff prepared to deploy to Afghanistan for 10 months in February. While deployed Jeff and Olivia wrote to each other monthly, and Olivia sent themed packages that bred envy throughout his organization. While deployed Jeff asked Olivia to be his date to Lauren and Joe’s wonderful wedding in Philadelphia. Shortly after returning home from Afghanistan, Jeff picked Olivia up from the airport and held her nervous and clammy hands as they drove into the city. It was at that moment that he knew they were meant for one another. After 3 moves from Florida to North Carolina, Georgia and Arizona they became engaged on December 8th, 2017 on Addison Street in Philadelphia. The same city that Olivia welcomed him home, and into her arms forever.
