Jay and Olivia met at McKinney Boyd High school in Olivia's junior year and Jay's senior year. Jay had recently moved from Holland, Michigan where he spent most of his childhood. McKinney Boyd was a high school of almost 3000+ students so it was very unlikely that Jay and Olivia would cross paths in the way that they did, especially since they were in different grade levels. But God always has bigger plans. Jay and Olivia ended up having multiple classes together - Pre-Calculus and two courses of physics to be exact. Olivia quickly figured out that Jay was the smartest student in the class and made sure to remain nearby for some answers. Jay also tried to sit nearby Olivia as well, although his mind was not on school. Although deep down she knew there was something very special about Jay, Olivia made it clear she only wanted to be friends and they went their separate ways at the end of the year. Fast forward a few years, Olivia was finishing up her degree at Oral Roberts University and Jay had just graduated from Baylor University and was pursuing his medical career. After some messaging on social media, they decided to meet up for lunch one day and catch up "as friends". Little did they know that this lunch would be the beginning of what is the greatest love story and answered prayers for Jay and Olivia.
Jay decided to propose to Olivia on October 26th, 2019 in a gorgeous Croatian-inspired development called Adriatica. Jay proposed to Olivia right in front of the Bella Donna Chapel where they will be married on December 6, 2020! This place is very important to Olivia as the Bell Tower is named after her uncle. It seems only fitting that she would be married in the Chapel. This was also the place that Jay and Olivia had one of their very first dates: a picnic right in front of the Bella Donna Chapel.
