We will be adventuring to Cook Forest in May to get married amongst the “Cathedral Trees” at an intimate ceremony with our immediate families! Gary Jacabella (Olivia's father) will officiate the ceremony with a liturgy that will involve our siblings and parents, each in an individual way. We plan to "Mini-Moon" at a cabin in Cook Forest for a few days post-ceremony. We are excited for our micro-style wedding and are planning a reception to for this fall. At that time we hope to gather safely with our extended family and friends.
We put a lot of thought into the location of our micro-wedding. The Cathedral Trees of Cook Forest are a collection of old-growth trees, including eastern hemlocks, that have towered above the woods of Northwestern PA for more than 150 years. We visited the park in May, 2020, during a very formative time in our relationship. Among other things, we bonded in our early months as a couple over our love of camping, and as the COVID-19 pandemic shaped our lives we looked for even more ways to be outside. Our trip to Cook Forest brought about many meaningful conversations and was where we discovered our love of adventuring together! We are excited to make our wedding memories at Cook Forest!
