What is the accessibility like at Stan Hywet?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside, likely at the West Terrace and Overlook: The West Terrace and Overlook located on the back side of the Manor House are easily accessible from the south via separate stone pathways. Access from the north is limited due to stairs The reception will be held at the Manor House (information taken from Stan Hywet's Accessibility Guide): The first floor and lower level are accessible for guests with disabilities. Accessibility to upper floors is limited due to stairs. A second floor guidebook is available for guests to visualize elements of the second floor of the Manor House. There is a virtual tour option online as well. Guests using wheelchairs may enter the first floor via the North Porch. Refer to the map above for specific location. The lower level (including public restrooms) can be accessed via the service court entrance. Note, there is a long incline coming out of the service court. Trams will be available for guests with mobility challenges. All other guests will be directed to walk to ceremony location.
