Our story actually started way back freshman year of high school, when we first met, talked, and quickly learned that timing is everything. According to one of us, someone broke the other’s heart (a story that still gets brought up). Life went on, and it wasn’t until senior year, during the uncertainty of the pandemic, that our paths truly found their way back to each other. We both chose to return to school in person, started talking again, and by April, we were officially together. Just four months later, life took us in opposite directions as we chased our individual dreams—one of us heading to Arizona and the other to Florida. Somehow, we made long distance work for four full years. The time we spent together was few and far between, but it made every moment even sweeter. We supported each other through some of the most meaningful milestones of our lives, from getting drafted to the Washington Nationals to graduating from Florida State. Jackson proposed on Paiko Beach in Hawaii, and it was absolutely perfect. Every detail was thoughtful, beautiful, and so us. It was a day we’ll never forget. Our love is strong, steady, and full of laughter. We push each other to grow, support one another through everything, and strive to be the best versions of ourselves—and we can’t wait to start this next chapter together.
