Back in July 2022, Dr George (who wasn't a doctor at the time) volunteered to give a bunch of 1st year medical students (including the very Olivia), a tour of Warrnambool Base Hospital. He instantly became intrigued by this Egyptian girl who spoke a grand total of 2 times in 2 hours. He thought she was quiet, little did he know, she was overly caffeinated and thought she was going to die of an arrhythmia. He sent all the medical students resources and in an effort to make her feel comfortable, he messaged her 'what church do you go to,' in the hopes that it would make her open up beyond the 1 word per hour rate. One thing led to another and unbeknownst to them, they would go on to have their first date-but-not-date at the hallowed halls of the Deck in Geelong (pictured below).

George first proposed back on our first date, on finding out that Olivia was a huge soccer fan. George then proposed a year and a half later at the The Lume (one of our favourite places in Melbourne). If you ask us, the highlight of that day, was the post-proposal debrief over sushi at the shopping centre.
