While our love story is not traditional, we wouldn’t have it any other way! - Eric and Olivia In the midst of a global pandemic, two individuals were attempting to navigate the dating world post grad. They turned to the world of online dating. The story begins on a dating app called Hinge when they both swiped right. After exchanging multiple messages on October 10th, 2020, (Olivia’s birthday) and a FaceTime call a few days later so Olivia could make sure Eric wasn’t “weirdo,” they decided on arguably the best location for a first date, Waffle House. The first date, October 25, 2020, lasted over four hours. They should have known right then and there that it was meant to be because Eric willingly missed a Bengals game to be there. “I love you’s” we’re exchanged shortly thereafter on New Years Eve of 2020. Over time, their love continued to grow, experiencing the challenges and joys of life, strengthening their bond. They traveled together, tried new things, built countless Lego sets, attended many trivia nights, and explored the outdoors on countless hikes. In October of 2021, they celebrated a year of wonderful memories made together. Six months later, on April 30th, 2022, they decided on forever when Eric proposed to Olivia at Cox Arboretum.
