Elliot was Sgt on night shift Patrol with the City & I was doing a ride along with the Sheriff’s Office. It was common for both depts to get together for dinner. I ordered what I thought was a normal order of gravy & biscuits but what I got was a HUGE plate full. Elliot then offered me $5.00 to eat it all to which I replied “you can keep your $5.00 because there’s no way I can do that!” And our relationship took off from there!
