Dakota's Version of Our Story: It was just another day for Dakota at work. He was taking extra samples to the lab to be tested. As he walked in, he noticed a new intern spending her day in the lab. He spent the next thirty minutes listening about how Iowa State was far superior to Kansas State. Dakota bid his time, knowing that something more was in store. After some time, he finally got ahold of her again and took her on their first date. He was worried that he had made a mistake with his choice of where to take her. However, she seemed to enjoy it and was very willing to go on a second date. The whole thing was a very unexpected blessing and an answer to many prayers. They both felt a connection with each other quickly and everything else fell into place. He is looking forward to the future and growing their family farm together to pass on to future generations.

Olivia's Version of Our Story: Olivia finished her junior year of college and took a summer internship position at Cargill in Dodge City, KS. During one of the first couple months working at Cargill, she met Dakota briefly and promptly reminded him that Iowa State athletics are far superior to Kansas State athletics, which seemed to be the end of the relationship. However, God had other plans and reunited the two almost a month later for their first date, and they have been inseparable ever since. They had a quick connection that couldn't be explained. Dakota was unexpected but came at just the right time. Olivia completed her senior year of college and returned to Dodge City to start their lives together. Dakota proposed in September, and the two are looking forward to starting their own cattle herd together.
