Things To Do

Redstone is a historic mining town known as the "Ruby of the Rockies". Located in the Roaring Fork Valley, the town has a population of 127 but is in close vicinity to Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and Carbondale. This area is home to hot springs, great hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities making it our favorite part of Colorado. We can't wait to share it with our favorite people! Please reach out if you want more recommendations of things to do!
Glenwood Springs

Glenwood Springs

Glenwood Springs, CO 81601

Glenwood Springs is a resort city in known for its Hot Springs. We recommend Iron Mountain Hot Springs that offer smaller pools right along the Colorado River. The Glenwood Hot Springs caters more towards families and has a large swimming pool style hot pool. Glenwood is a charming larger mountain town that has some fun shops and a variety of restaurants and cafes.

Marble

Marble, CO 81623

Another small mountain town with picturesque views. Named for once-thriving marble mines that supplied marble for the Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. Enjoy a great meal at the only restaurant in town at Slow Groovin BBQ. Or take a Jeep tour to the now abandoned Crystal Mill.

Aspen

Aspen, CO 81611

Aspen (about an hour drive from Redstone) is nestled in the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains. Visitors can enjoy renowned arts and culture, exceptional cuisine, countless outdoor pursuits and, of course, world-class winter sports.

Hiking

Hiking

There are gorgeous hikes in Redstone and the towns listed above. This area and Colorado in general is notorious for steep and rocky hikes so be sure to check the trail descriptions and bring more water than you'd think. https://www.hikingproject.com/directory/8015013/redstone
