Question
Can I bring my baby?
Answer
Yes! We would love to see your little ones. If anyone is unsettled during the ceremony (which is understandable-- it's an hour of sitting in the middle of the day!), please step out of the cathedral as we will be constantly taking directions from the Priest and it may become hard to hear. There is a nursery available near the Gymnasium and bathrooms, so feel free to ask around before the ceremony begins if you are unsure as to the location. At the reception, we will have space allotted for nursing if needed. Of course, please keep a close eye on kiddos who are walking as the reception venue is on a main road.

What should I wear?
Answer
We would love to see our family and friends in semi-formal attire. Bridesmaids will be in multiple different colors, so no worries about avoiding a specific hue. Please do not wear white.

Help, I've never been to a Greek wedding!
Answer
No worries, about half of the people in attendance haven't either! It is very important to us that you shut down your cell phone before entering the cathedral and do not speak over the Priest. However, a quick Google search will probably tell you that you also can't cross your legs, or wear lipstick, or that you have to light candles and kiss icons in a specific order. While these are the Orthodox traditions many of us know and love, please do not feel uncomfortable if you don't know what you're doing or what is going on. Just respectfully enjoy something new, we are simply happy you're here!

Do I need to choose my meal?

Nope! We will all be eating together family style, meaning that all food will be served to the table to share.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Answer
No. Our amazing photographer Lizzie will be the only one instructed as to where she can and cannot stand for photos in accordance with Orthodox customs, and trust me, she will capture the ceremony beautifully! Please sit back and enjoy the tradition of marriage without attending to your cell phone.
