Waterford Castle is on Little Island, and can be accessed by car or by train from Dublin to Waterford city. 

If you are coming by train from Dublin, we'd recommend making a weekend of it and spending a night in Kilkenny on your way to Waterford! If you would like to arrange a ride from the train station to the island, please reach out to us and let us know. 

If coming by car, the Little Island is accessed via a short ferry ride that crosses the Kings Channel to the island. The ferry is free of charge and runs every 15 minutes on the quarter hour from 7am to midnight, and on demand by telephone from midnight to 7am.

If you are planning to stay in Dublin, we recommend finding accommodations on the south side of the River Liffey, around Grafton street, Ranelagh, or Ballsbridge.
