FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want to give everyone the opportunity to go all out and dress up if they want or keep it a little more comfortable if that’s your preference. Gowns and tuxedos are encouraged but a suit and cocktail dress are perfectly acceptable as well. The bride would like to note that there are too many rules online about what colors you are and are not allowed to wear to a wedding, so please disregard those internet articles and wear whatever color you’d like!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

When filling out the RSVP on our website, there will be a section to write in dietary restrictions. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or have any other dietary restrictions. As a part of the RSVP you will be asked to select a meal choice, please answer at the time of RSVP but note that day of, our catering staff will be taking orders!

Question

Can I Bring a Plus Ones?

Answer

With the space restraints of hosting a NYC wedding, we can not accommodate any plus ones not already included on the invitation. If their name is on the invite, they're welcome! But please don't bring a date not already specified.

Question

Kids?

Answer

As with plus ones, please don't bring anyone else who isn't already on the invitation. We love your little ones but please take this as an opportunity to enjoy a night out!

Question

Is there Parking?

Answer

There are a number of paid parking lots in the area if you're choosing to drive. Please note that street parking in NYC is very limited. If you choose to take public transportation, the 68th Street Hunter College train station is about a block away from the venue and you get to pass by where the bride went to school!

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will take place indoors with both the ceremony and reception at the Harold Pratt House. As a note about the venue, there are two stories that the event will take place between. There is one flight of stairs to walk up to get to the second floor and there is also an elevator for those who need a more accessible route.
