What time does the ceremony start?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

You should arrive by 5:00 pm to enjoy the beautiful location, grab a cold drink and find a seat. Horning's Hideout is about 30 min from Portland and the road from US 26 to the venue is curvy and slow going. Please plan accordingly.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Be comfortable. This is an outdoor venue, the ground is gravel and grass. Dress up your comfort with a great summer dress or nice shorts and a polo. We will love you in whatever you show up in, and we mostly want you to be comfortable.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes a guest, then yes. We'd love for you to bring them. If your invite is addressed to you only, we kindly ask that you attend solo so we can stay within our venue's capacity. Reach out to Olivia if you really want to bring someone, and she'll let you know if there is space.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, your invitation includes your children. If your invitation does not say "+ family," please check in with Olivia, so we know we have an accurate number of guests. There will be lots of games and kid-friendly stuff available.

What's for dinner?

Answer

Tasty 'za will be from Scottie's in Portland. Vegetarian options will be available. Charcuterie boards and small plates will be available prior. Please reach out to Olivia for specific dietary requests or questions. Guest 21 and older are welcome to hosted beer, wine and our Red & Blue Signature drinks. Non alcoholic options will be available for those who do not drink and our guests under 21.

What's the weather like in August in Portland?

Hot! The location is wooded and near a creek, so that will help with the heat, but please dress for a warm ceremony. It could get a little cooler in the evening, so you might bring a light jacket or sweater.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We've secured a room block at both the Embassy Suites and the Hampton Inn in Hillsboro. These are the closest hotels to the venue (about 15 miles away). The special rate is available from Aug 14 - 16, though you do not need to stay the entire time to take advantage of the discount. Visit the travel page of our website for the booking link.
