Iconic photo-op area of London! Spend a day here walking to all the sites such as Westminster Abbey, Buckingham palace and Big Ben. Pro tip: To catch the change of the guards at Buckingham palace make sure you check the schedule online. The main one is on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11 am. Make sure you get there early enough! To visit the area we recommend doing it self-guided or with a guided tour: https://freewalkingtour.com/london/welcome-to-london-westminster-free-tour/
Favourite part of the city if you're a history nerd like Olivia 🤓 City of London is home to major historical buildings such as Saint Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe and Olivia's personal favourite Tower of London (a must do if you're a fan of Tudor History and Lady Jane Grey). If you want great views of the city -- but don't want to pay the hefty price at the London Shard... This is a great alternative and its free! I would also argue that the views here are nicer as you get to see the Shard from here and get to sit in a lovely rooftop garden. Just make sure you book your ticket in advance. Pro tip: Free tickets for the Sky Garden are released every Monday morning for the week three weeks in advance. They sell out quickly, so it is highly recommended to book right when they are released, typically around 10:00–11:00 am UK time. https://skygarden.london/booking/
