Bennie and Cheniqua both met while working at Dunn Police Athletic League during the summer of 2004. Bennie worked as a youth counselor and Cheniqua worked as a lifeguard for the aquatics area. Their friendship kindled but parted as Cheniqua moved out of state to finish her undergraduate degree from Howard University. Literally a decade later Cheniqua moved back home and the friendship continued. The two started dating and spending time with one another. On the evening of May 27, 2017 Bennie proposed to Cheniqua with the help of little Liam, and now their story begins!
