Shelli & I met at Rogers where we were nurses on the same unit and quickly became work wives, twinnies, & crazy frogs. She is so smart, funny, and caring- honestly I'd request her as my nurse. Shelli is the person I call when I'm in a 10/10 anxiety spiral, because her laugh and straightforward "you're a psycho" is literally *perfection* for me. (Everything but the bagel seasoning, anyone?) Shelli was MVP when she got pregnant since that left Andrew to swoop in during maternity leave. She was instrumental for us then & now as my Matron of Honor!

Alex Katzka

Best Man

Although we went to school together since preschool, Alex became my closest friend in high school. Alex is kind, funny, hard-working, and always late. Alex truly has been nothing short of a brother to me and I can't think of anyone I'd rather have as my best man.

Nadya Pecharsky

Maid of Honor

Nadya & I have been friends since 2012 when we worked together in Iowa at Hickory Park Restaurant Co (iykyk). Whether it was in Iowa, Chicago, or a visit to MKE, some of my best memories are with her (we have seen taylor swift in concert together 5 times!) and it's been great to live in the same city again. We have a good balance of deep talks with doing dumb things… remember when I dropped that A/C unit from my window? Nadya is smart, caring, loyal, creative, fearless, flawless, sparking, bejeweled, & mean. She has been like a sister to me and I am so happy to have her as my Maid of Honor!

Mark Durand

Marky is one of three Durands in this wedding, all of whom were my closest friends growing up. Marky, the youngest, is someone who can make a good time out of anything through his constant positive attitude. He is someone who's down for anything, whether it's garage hockey, sting pong, or basketball trickshot videos.

Christine & I met in 2016 when we worked together as techs in the GI Lab and quickly bonded over ~*girly*~ things like lipstick between ~*not-so-girly*~ procedures. She visited me in Milwaukee when I moved for nursing school, then she moved to Philly for nursing school. Fast-forward a couple years to us both living in Chicago and our friendship picking right back up. Christine is such a good person, a nurse practitioner *so proud*, and most importantly, talks more than I do!

Alec Durand

Alec is the middle brother of the three. Alec is both one of the smartest and most sarcastic people I know. Alec is a very down-to-earth guy who can talk about anything to anyone. Some of our fondest momories together include my Dad tricking Alec (smartest person I know) into eating a dog treat and playing countless hours of basketball together.

BUT WE CALL HER REGI. Regi is Andrew's younger sister and he made me promise when we started dating that I would call her Regi because he literally made it up one day... ok, weirdo. But TBH both Regi & the nickname have really grown on me. Regi is smart, caring, kind, unique, and the best auntie to Chile. She even helped Andrew set-up the proposal scene, protected it until we arrived, & took photos for us- I love that she was a part of it :) I have really enjoyed getting to know this cat-loving-bad-ass-police-officer. If my only-child days had to end, I'm so glad it's because I'm gaining Regi as a sister!

TJ Durand

Last but not least, TJ is the oldest of the Durand brothers. Growing up, TJ was the classic tough older brother to Mark, Alec, and I. I have many memories of looking up at TJ as I lay powerless on the ground after another King of the Tree session. TJ is still one of the hardest working people I know, and someone I know will always be in my corner.

Andrew and I met my sophomore year of college when he was the RA of my dorms floor. We quickly became friends and have been ever since. Andrew is one of the most open-minded and easy to talk to people I know.
