Maid of Honor
Best friend or second sister? Emily has been my best friend since the 8th grade and was the best college roommate for four years! I don't think anyone ever loved their freshman dorm as much as we did. One of the few who knows every embarrassing story not just from high school but from college as well. Living in different states hasn't changed a thing and when we retire look for us in our shared beach house chilling with our dogs that will outive us!
Maid of Honor
I am honored to have my snow-boarding, animal-loving sister by my side. She's the kind of sister who will drop anything to help anyone or drive hours for a hike and I am grateful she's not only my sister but one of my closest friends. It's a good thing we have each other because anyone else would get sick of the constant stream of dog pictures we send each other.
Best Man
Growing up we did everything together. Wherever my brother went, whatever he did, you would always find me following him like a (slightly shorter) shadow. Naturally, after graduating college, we found ourselves both living in Northern Virginia. He has always been one of my favorite people to hang out with and I am so happy to call him my brother, my friend, and my best man.
Bridesmaid
My soon to be sister-in-law has also become a friend over the past few years. Ashley is a great friend to have in a new city and has made sure I actually experience living in DC by getting out to do things other than hiking with my dog. She is a fantastic host and I know her door is always open!
Groomsman
Sam and I met my freshman year of college, when we started a small group bible study together. We were roommates for the next 4 years and grew close over our shared love of God, board games, movies, shows, and so many other things. Sam is now a seminarian in Italy, but we are still able to keep in touch and play the occasional online board game together. Sam always knows how to be there for me, help me grow in faith, and I can't say enough about him as one of my best friends.
Bridesmaid
Jess was not only a fantastic college roommate but she was an even better road trip buddy! Very few people can you drive across the country with and still call one of your best friends. It seems like we have the same taste in everything from clothes to desserts. Sometimes it's like we share the same mind, for better or for worse!
Groomsman
Jack lived across the hall from me freshman year at Tech. We instantly became friends, and ended up becoming roommates for 3 years. He is, without a doubt, the coolest opera singer you have ever met. He is incredibly kind and fun to be around. I am so thankful to have him as one of my closest friends and groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
I am so glad Hannah and I crossed paths, I know for sure college wouldn't have been as fun without her as a roommate! She is incredibly loyal and my only friend who can also quote Spongebob. With her there is never a dull moment. The great state of Texas is lucky to have her!
Groomsman
Mason and I met in 5th Grade and have been best of friends ever since. We grew close over our shared love of God, college football, golf, and billiards (among so many other things). He has always been like my 2nd brother and probably knows more about my own family than I do. He is an incredibly kind, caring, and generous friend, and I think my mom said it best when she always says "What would we do without Mason?!"
Bridesmaid
Another amazing college roommate and friend! Kelsie definitely helped keep me active in college and was always up for a hike. She was also the only one willing to play virtually every intramural sport with me and was a key player in the innertube water polo championship of 2017.
Groomsman
Tobe and I met freshman year at Virginia Tech where we immediately became great friends, bonding over our shared love for Hokie sports, food, and the beach!! Tobe is one of the kindest, most considerate, and genuine people I know and I am super excited to have him as dear friend and groomsman!
Bridesmaid
I am so lucky to have a cousin I can also call my friend. Growing up with someone is sure to leave you with some embarrassing memories of the awkward years but that just means we've had tons of fun too! I am so proud of the woman Grace has become and I know she is going to do great things for the world!
Groomsman
Tommy is one of my oldest and dearest friends. We first met playing baseball in second grade, and have been close friends ever since. Though we did not go to the same high school, we were finally brought to the same city when Tommy decided to go to grad school at Virginia Tech! Tommy is one of the best role models I know, and I am super thankful to have him as one of my closest friends and groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
Grace is another trooper from middle school and one who has stuck with me through so much. Whether it was the unique experience that is high school marching band or a DIY wine and paint night. Grace is always up for anything and knows better than anyone how to live life to the fullest. She is one who will definitely leave her mark on the world!
Groomsman
Mike and I met freshman year of college. He lived in the suite next door and immediately became one of my closest friends. Along with Sam, we started a nightly bible study together and I spent almost every waking hour with those guys. Mike has always pushed me to be the best I can be, and always been there to help me through tough times. I am so thankful to have him as a close friend and brother in Christ. PS - Mike is now in seminary in New Jersey. We REALLY hope he can make the wedding but understand that he may not be able to do so.
