Their love story began in Pittsburgh while Olivia was working at UPMC in Postpartum and Alex was in Medical School completing a rotation at Allegheny General Hospital. Both of them were ready to be in a relationship. Searching on Tinder was a success when they both "swiped right." It was love at first glance! After THREE months of texting, their first date was at Carmella's (noted for homemade-craft cocktails) in South Side Pittsburgh. They went for "just drinks" and ended up chatting for hours, instantly bonding over medical backgrounds and similar family values. The fun continued. Alex and Olivia went on many memorable dates: Pittsburgh Zoo, Phipps Conservatory (botanical garden), making hand- blown wine glasses at Vessel Studio Glass, and making homemade pierogis. Alex was awarded his Medical Residency taking him south to Florida at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson. They were apart but kept close by visiting quite often. One year later, Olivia was working in Florida at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in the NICU and Odessa was now called home. On September 16, 2020 Alex packed a wine and charcuterie basket and the couple headed to Saint Pete Beach for a picnic. Little did Olivia know that there was a photographer hiding in the distance capturing the special moment. Alex proposed and Olivia said, "YES!" There were more surprises to come that night. After the beach, Alex took Olivia for a helicopter tour (chocolates and champagne on board) over St Petersburg, momentarily pausing over the sand on SPB where Alex popped the question!
