Olivia and Sean met in Greenville, South Carolina, over Memorial Day weekend at a beautiful wedding celebrating their friends, Meg and Roo. Meg had given Olivia a heads-up that a former Michigan Basketball bachelor would be standing in the wedding. As they were leaving the welcome party, Roo kicked Sean in the shin as Olivia walked away and said, “Hey, that girl played basketball, you should talk to her.” Later that night, on the rooftop after the welcome party, Olivia and Sean spent the entire evening talking hoops and getting to know each other before exchanging numbers and making plans to meet for coffee the next morning. They spent hours talking over that one coffee before Sean rushed off for wedding photos. During the ceremony, Olivia sat in the back pew while Sean stood among the groomsmen, sneaking a smile her way. That night, they danced and sang celebrating Meg and Roo’s love. The day after the wedding, they grabbed brunch before heading back to Rhode Island and Chicago, but Delta Airlines had other plans. Olivia’s flight was canceled and rescheduled for the next morning and sitting across the table, Sean canceled his flight too. With 6 a.m. flights the following morning, they said their goodbyes at the gate not knowing what would come next, but safe to say, it all worked out. After two years of long distance, countless hours on FaceTime, they ended up together in Chicago. Olivia and Sean wouldn’t be here, starting their own love story, if not for two people who fell in love.
