Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail
The perfect activity for a fall day in ATL! Stroll the Eastside trail and walk through some of the city's most beautiful neighborhoods. Lots of bars, shopping and more along the trail - including Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market. Great place for celebrity sightings... most likely Owen Wilson (riding his bike as per usual), the Stranger Things Cast, or Donald Glover.
Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is the heart of the city and one of ATL's largest parks. It's perfect for a picnic or a long stroll on a beautiful day. One of our favorite lunch spots, Sean's, is located in the center of the park. Stop by for a great smoothie, sandwich or wrap.
Ponce City Market
One of ATL's first food halls. There's something for everyone! PCM also features some awesome shops, such as Citizen Supply, that has curated a selection of products from ATL artisans.
Krog Street Market
Similar to PCM but without the shopping. Lots of great food to choose from, and an amazing selection of beers available at Hop City.
The Works -- Upper Westside Atlanta
Another food hall concept on the westside. Filled with lots of great selections, super cute stores and a full bar. Dr. Scofflaw (an Atlanta-based brewery) is also on-site. Lots of outdoor seating. There is also a Fox Brother BBQ location here which is a MUST-try!
Clermont Hotel and Rooftop Bar
An Atlanta classic that has recently been completely renovated! The rooftop bar features views of the city, and the downstairs restaurant, Tiny Lou's, is delicious. This is where we will be staying during the wedding weekend!
Atlanta Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens are so beautiful and a great place to stroll when the weather is nice! Be sure to check out the Chihuly glass art. The gardens are accessible via Piedmont Park if you are planning a trip.
High Museum of Art
The High Museum is a great place to check out the latest and greatest art exhibits. Be sure to check out their website to see what they are featuring the weekend of the wedding.
Atlanta History Center
If you're a history buff - this is the place for you! Learn all about the history of the south and specifically the city of Atlanta of course.
Sweetwater Creek State Park
One of our favorite parks in the Atlanta metro area - especially on a fall day! There are so many trails to choose from, and the creek is really beautiful. Fun fact: a few scenes from two Hunger Games movies were filmed here!
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Akers Mill Access Point
Another great trail system that's located relatively close to town. There are several paths to choose from, and it's a wonderful area to explore on a fall day.
Monday Night Garage
One of our favorite breweries in Atlanta. They have another location in West Midtown - both are great. The Garage is located in a newly developed area of the city right on the westside trail of the BeltLine. Lots of other breweries, restaurants and more all in the same complex - including Wild Heaven, Golda Kombucha, Best End Brewery, ASW Distillery, Hop City and Boxcar (great restaurant).
Torched Hop Brewing Company
If you make it to town early, be sure to grab a beer and some food at one of our favorite neighborhood spots! They have awesome wings and burgers and brew their own beer in-house.
The Porter Beer Bar
If you love beer, this is your place. There are hundreds of beer options to choose from at this very cozy neighborhood joint. Great food as well!
Wrecking Bar Brewpub
Another place for beer and food lovers. Awesome place to hang out with plenty of outdoor seating. They also brew their own beer and it's quite delicious. PS: ALWAYS order the Wreck fries!!
Halfway Crooks Beer
Check out one of Atlanta's newest up-and-coming neighborhoods, Summerhill! Halfway Crooks has a great rooftop, awesome food and delicious beer. Plus - they are located next door to Big Softie, one of our favorite soft serve ice cream shops.
Atlanta Dairies - Imaginarium Tasting Room
This new complex in up-and-coming Reynoldstown features a few restaurants, coffee shops, and one of our favorite breweries - Three Taverns. This specific location is called The Imaginarium and focuses exclusively on experimental brews.
El Tesoro
One of our favorite restaurants/places to hang out. They have an awesome outdoor space that is complete with bonfires, picnic tables and more!
Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q
An Atlanta staple!! One of the best BBQ joints in town. There will always be a line (especially on a Friday or Saturday night) - but it is 100% worth the wait. Don't sleep on the smoked wings!
Antico
Best place for pizza in all of Atlanta! Bring your own beer and wine. Very casual place and there will be likely be a line... but absolutely worth the wait! Our favorite is the meatball pie.
Delbar Middle Eastern
One of Olivia's favorite spots for Middle Eastern food. Everything we have ever tried on the menu has been absolutely delicious. Plus, they serve awesome cocktails. They are now serving brunch, which (of course) looks amazing as well.
Victory Sandwich Bar
Great little sandwich joint nestled in Inman Park, right off of the Beltline! They have a ton of outdoor seating. If you need a place to rest or grab a bite while you're walking the trail, this is your place!
South City Kitchen Midtown
This is our favorite spot for classic southern food. When in Rome… order the fried chicken!
Eight Sushi Lounge
Our favorite sushi spot - hands down. Order the “Rice to Meet You” chef’s choice nigiri. This place has awesome cocktails as well!
Gunshow
Easily one of the most unique dining experiences you could have. This place is recommended for adventurous eaters only! Dishes are presented to guests at their tables, the chef that prepared the dish. The menu changes daily. Reservations are required.
Muchacho
Great little coffee shop with awesome breakfast tacos! They've recently expanded and have a really nice indoor and outdoor space.
West Egg Cafe
Great brunch spot with a menu filled with classics. Stroll around the West Side Provisions District afterward - there are plenty of shops to browse!
Home Grown Restaurant
Great, very casual brunch spot with a heavy focus on southern staples. Usually crowded on the weekend, but efficient.
